The Portal Is Now

“The Portal Is Now” was an interdisciplinary art show that I curated at the historic Women’s Literary Club (now renamed Clubhouse) in Salt Lake City. Through collaboration with other artists and performers I created an evening of interactive installation, performance, photography, and paintings. The show was a community arts event centering on finding fantasy in everyday experiences. A common thread that linked the variety of artworks and experiences in the show was magical realism, or, low fantasy. Aside from organizing the show, my responsibilities included creating my own art for the show, and sewing dance costumes from my own original paintings.
